Thanks for visiting my site! My name is Rubin and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow. Through this site, I intend to offer accessible content that bridges academia and ecclesial life. Some of what is featured include a blog, publications, and newsletter.
My Story
After committing my life to Jesus Christ in 2010, I moved from St. Louis to Chicago to do a ministry internship. Since then, I have worked on degrees in biblical studies in Chicago, Lexington, and now Glasgow (in the UK). For my PhD, I am researching mixed-race identities in the Greco-Roman and New Testament world. I am fascinated by what it means for people to think and operate in these identities in the ancient world and what that might mean for our readings of the text.
