PhD in Theology & Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow
I am interested in what it means to be mixed-race in the Greco-Roman world and New Testament. Specifically, I want to investigate racial/ethnic frameworks in these contexts and identify what it means to be "mixed."
August 2018 – December 2020
ThM in Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary
This degree encompassed doctoral seminars and research papers included topics such as, the political theology of 1 Peter, the historicity of the infancy narrative in Matthew, and Acts 2:42–47 and the early Church.
January 2015 – May 2018
MA in New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School
This degree was focused on the biblical languages—specifically growing proficiency in koine Greek and graduate courses ranging from books in the bible to the history of NT interpretation. Some of the research topics includes Empire Criticism in Matthew's infancy narrative, a post-colonial look at the translation of James in the NT, and the effective history of translation in Matthew's Gospel,
September 2011 – June 2013
Certificate of Practical Theology at FIRE School of Ministry Chicago
This degree introduced me to NT studies and provided instrumental hermeneutical and exegetical skills. It also helped me to locate key themes within the Bible such as kingdom and gain a greater appreciation for the history and significance of particular figures within the charismatic tradition.
